Tutoring Affairs

Our one-to-one home tutoring service specialises in the provision of qualified tutors to parents that require private one-to-one tuition for their children. We cater for:

  1. Students (from ages 4 - 18) that require extra tutoring (i.e., in order to catch up on certain subject areas or prepare for the KS1-KS3 SATs, GCSEs, A-Levels or 11+ tests/exams).
  2. Home-schooled students that require specialist subject tuition.
  3. Students on ‘temporary exclusion’ from schools that require interim home tuition.
  4. All subjects up to A-Levels.

Our database of tutors is made up of qualified tutors with either teaching certificates, university degrees, professional qualifications or a combination thereof.

Our aim is to help maximise each child's potential through the provision of high calibre and reliable tutors that provide individual tuition tailored to each pupil's specific needs.

All our tutors are CRB/police checked and have to provide two relevant references. After the first month of a tutoring assignment, we obtain verbal feedback on your tutor's performance and also ask you to complete a Performance Review Form every 6 months or at the end of a tutoring assignment.

Although our tuition is curriculum-based, there is no set pattern for private tuition. The style and tuition content will vary according to the subject being studied, the tutors' individual approach and the student's strengths and weaknesses. Each session will usually last for one hour, and potentially longer if the exams are approaching. Sessions are usually conducted weekly in the students' home.

We do not charge a registration fee and our hourly rates are reasonable, fixed and all inclusive with no hidden extra charges like travel costs etc. You do not have to pre-book a fixed number of lessons. Once a suitable tutor has been assigned to you, you can have as many or as few lessons as your child needs. Following each lesson, your tutor will present you with a timesheet to be signed, and an invoice (based on your timesheet hours) will be posted to you early in the month to cover the tuition given in the pre-ceding month. For example, tuition received in the month of July will be invoiced early in August.

Contact us for a price quote and tutor in any subject up to A-level today and we will do our best to find you an excellent tutor within 48 hours.
